NFC.cool on Bits und so #1007 - Timo's Pick

Studio microphone, headphones, audio waveform, and NFC.cool app icon

A couple of days ago, Bits und so episode #1007 was playing in the background while I was working - and out of nowhere, my app’s name came out of the speakers.

In the Picks segment, Timo Hetzel recommended NFC.cool. The show notes list it simply as ā€œNFC.cool Scanner-Appā€. Here’s the episode.

Sounds like a small thing at first. One line in the show notes, a few minutes of audio. But Bits und so isn’t just any podcast to me.

I’ve been listening to the show for years - it runs in the background while I work. Bits und so has felt like it’s been around forever; you recognise the hosts’ voices instantly. And in the exact segment where Timo usually recommends apps and gadgets that I then go and try myself, he’s now saying my app’s name. That just feels different from a mention in some outlet I’ve never heard of.

So: thanks, Timo. Thanks to the whole Bits und so crew. And if you arrived here from the episode and want a quick orientation - NFC.cool is the all-in-one scanning app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. NFC tags, QR codes, barcodes, documents, 3D models, even room scans. All synced via iCloud, all in one place.
